The Charlton Smith Partnership is a well established (1988) company which has responded to changing needs of its clients by refining its Services delivery so that each facet of the practice's work is Partner led. The practice's prime focus is on Planning, through CSP Planning and Building Acoustics and Noise Control through CSP Acoustics. Where appropriate the partners work together to provide trans-disciplinary skills to meet project and Client needs.
A major change to the way in which companies are working is the use of services and skills networking. CSP took this route some time ago and now has links with a number of tried and tested companies - covering landscaping, roads and traffic engineering , interior design, architecture and engineering - whose resources can be readily pulled into projects. This means that we can retain the benefits of a small company - to be able to offer direct expertise from experienced partners, focused on client needs whilst providing the resources of larger organisations when needed.
This also has the advantage that we do not 'compete' with the other consultancies with whom we work.
Using networking we can also enhance the services others can offer by supplementing their skills and responses to client enquiries. This has advantages for clients and consultants:
- No need to maintain expertise "in - house" with under used staffing
- Consultants can concentrate on what they do best
- Clients receive quality services from consultants whose experience meets the project needs
